The Society's new book, "The 9-Mile Square," will feature the history of Norwich, Bozrah, Franklin, Sprague, Lisbon, Jewett City and Preston and, as part of the presentation, the famous people who have passed our way and made the world a better place.

Richard Curland, formerly of Norwich and a retired school teacher, has completed two interesting biographies; one on the nationally famous Norwich citizen, Lafayette Foster, who became Vice President of the United States following the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

Kingsley of the 26th Infantry Regiment and his heroics during the Civil War. A second biography is on Air Force General William Evans who made his mark during the recent Cold War.
