DESCRIPTION:The Dirty Blue Shirts will provide context on Lafayette’s 1824 visit to Norwich as well as the historical use of cockades to denote patriotic affiliation. With guidance\, very simple cockades can be made by those with little or no prior sewing experience; for the historian\, historically-appropriate materials & techniques are available. For those who wish to work off their excitement at the imminent proximity of a Revolutionary War luminary\, battledore & shuttlecock and the graces will also be available. \nAdmission is $5 for adults\, free for children under 15 and free for NHS Members. Please note the schoolhouse is cashless and can only accept credit or debit card payments
