DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: The Oak Street Cemetery Tour for Friday October 28th at 3pm has been CANCELLED! The walk scheduled for Sunday October 30th for 3pm will be held as scheduled. We apologize for the inconvenience. \n  \nThis little-known public cemetery dates back to the 18th century and includes ancestors of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Those buried here include a plantation owner and enslaver\, one of Prudence Crandall’s attorneys\, a local artist and portraitist\, and Norwich’s best-loved sea captain. \nPlease park in the municipal parking lot on Cliff Street and walk up to the Cemetery located at 37 Oak Street. \nFriday 10/28/2022 3:00pm Less than a mile\, Easy\, No restrooms\, No wheelchair access\, No dogs please \nThis Walktober walk is sponsored by the Norwich City Historian
