Please join us for a special walk that highlights the anniversary of the tragic loss of two World War II fighter pilots who crashed over Preston on October 19, 1944. John Waggnor, President of the Norwich Area Veterans Council, will share the story of the two pilots, 20-year-old Ensign Merle H. Longnecker, and 22-year-old Ensign George K. Kraus, and show memorabilia related to the crash at the site of a memorial bench for the two pilots. Rain date: October 22 1:00pm.
