Norwich City Hall Facts and Folklore

October 5, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

free

Walktober is about the outdoors but Norwich City Hall is a true work of art that should be visited. Completed in 1873, the building features “dungeon-like” cells in the basement, French Second Empire architecture, and many of the original furnishings. It is a true masterpiece of craftmanship punctuated with a gold clock tower. Join city leaders in this engaging tour. Ages 10 years and up only. Note: access into the clock tower not permitted. Please meet inside by the docent booth on the first floor. This tour is sponsored by the City of Norwich, the Norwich Historical Society, and the Last Green Valley. This event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required. If you are unvaccinated, please wear a mask. Vaccinated individuals do not need to wear a mask.

Less than a mile; easy. Restrooms available. Wheelchair access. No dogs.
