This little-known public cemetery dates back to the 18th century and includes ancestors of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Those buried here include a plantation owner and enslaver, one of Prudence Crandall’s attorneys, a local artist and portraitist, and Norwich’s best-loved sea captain.

Please park in the municipal parking lot on Cliff Street and walk up to the Cemetery located at 37 Oak Street.
